What's stored on your device

TapVest saves your progress to your browser's local storage: cash, businesses, investments, collectibles, deposits, your chosen avatar and your settings. This never leaves your device unless you choose to sign in. Clearing your browser data deletes it permanently and we cannot recover it.

If you sign in with Google

Signing in is entirely optional and exists so your progress survives a cleared browser and follows you to another device. If you do sign in, we receive from Google:

• Your name
• Your email address
• Your profile picture URL
• A unique account identifier

These are used only to identify which saved game belongs to you. We never post anything, never contact you, and never share this with anyone. Your game save is stored in Google Firebase, and security rules restrict every document so that only the signed-in owner can read or write it.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics to count visits and see which parts of the game people actually use. It records anonymous, aggregated things — page views, rough location by country, device type, and a few in-game events like completing onboarding or buying a first business. It is never linked to your name or email, even if you sign in.

IP addresses are anonymised, and advertising features and ad personalisation are switched off. If your browser sends a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal, we disable analytics entirely — no request is made at all. You can also block it with any content blocker; the game works exactly the same either way.

What we don't do

• No advertising and no ad networks
• No selling or sharing of any data with anyone
• No cross-site tracking, ad profiles or remarketing
• No real money, no payments, no gambling
• No access to contacts, photos, location, camera or microphone

Deleting your data

To delete local progress, open Settings → Reset save in the game, or clear site data in your browser. To delete a synced cloud save, sign in, use Settings → Account → Sign out, then email the address below and we'll remove the stored document.

Children

TapVest contains no real-money transactions, no gambling, no chat and no user-generated content. It is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from them.

A note on the companies in the game

Company names and ticker symbols shown in TapVest are real and are used only to identify them. All prices are simulated by the game. It is not a trading platform, it is not affiliated with or endorsed by any company named in it, and nothing in it is investment advice.
